  1. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS

“Incredible Indian Trivia” (the “Channel”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a trivia game channel for Roku streaming devices, published by [INSERT LEGAL NAME OR COMPANY NAME] (“Publisher”), [INSERT CITY, COUNTRY]. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Channel and our website at incredibleindiantrivia.approku.com (the “Site”) handle, why, who else receives it, and the choices you have.

By using the Channel or the Site you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

  1. SUMMARY (PLAIN LANGUAGE)
  • There are no accounts, sign-ups, passwords, or profiles in the Channel.
  • We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, address, or payment card details inside the Channel.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from you through the Channel.
  • Game settings and progress are stored only on your Roku device.
  • Purchases are processed entirely by Roku. We never see your payment details.
  • Free (non-Premium) users may see one short advertisement at the end of a game. Ads are delivered by Roku’s advertising framework, not by us directly. Premium removes ads.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  1. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The Channel stores the following on your Roku device, in the Channel’s private storage (the Roku “registry”). This data stays on your device. We do not receive a copy.
a) Preferences: for example selected theme, Sound On/Off, game mode, selected categories, number of questions, and timer choices.
b) Gameplay data: for example high scores, streaks, statistics, and which questions have recently been shown (so questions are not repeated too soon).
c) Party Mode names: any nicknames or team names you type for Team vs Team or similar modes. These are entered by you, are stored only on the device, and are not transmitted to us. Please do not enter real full names or sensitive information.
d) Premium status cache: a record that Premium is unlocked, along with the time it was last verified with Roku, so the Channel can work while offline.
e) Ad pacing: the time the last ad break occurred, so ads are limited in frequency.

You can remove this data at any time by removing the Channel from your Roku device (Roku Home > highlight the Channel > press * > Remove channel). Reinstalling does not remove a purchase made with your Roku account.

  1. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

The Channel does not operate its own servers for gameplay, does not require login, and does not include third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs of our own. We do not collect: your name, email, postal address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, audio or voice recordings, biometric data, government identifiers, or financial account information.

  1. PURCHASES (ROKU PAY)

Premium is a one-time, non-subscription purchase made through Roku Pay. When you buy or restore Premium:

  • Roku collects and processes your payment and billing information under Roku’s own privacy policy and terms.
  • We receive only a confirmation from Roku that the purchase succeeded and the product identifier (iit_premium_unlock). We do not receive your card number, billing address, or Roku account credentials.
  • Refunds, receipts, and billing disputes are handled by Roku. See Roku’s support pages.
  1. ADVERTISING (ROKU ADVERTISING FRAMEWORK)

The free version of the Channel may display an advertisement once at the end of a game (never during gameplay), and no more than once in any three-minute period. Ads are requested and displayed through the Roku Advertising Framework (RAF). When an ad is requested, Roku and its advertising partners may receive and process information such as your device’s advertising identifier (Roku Identifier for Advertising, “RIDA”), IP address, device type, Channel identifier, and ad interaction/measurement events (for example, that an ad was shown). We do not control, and do not receive, this advertising data.

Your choices:

  • On your Roku device, go to Settings > Privacy > Advertising and enable “Limit ad tracking” to opt out of ad personalization, or use “Reset advertising identifier” to reset your RIDA.

  • Purchasing Premium removes ads from the Channel.

Because ads come from third parties, we are not responsible for the content of those ads or for those parties’ privacy practices.

  1. INFORMATION YOU SEND US

If you email support@incredibleindiantrivia.approku.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to respond, to troubleshoot, and to keep a record of support requests. We keep such emails for as long as needed to resolve your request and meet legal obligations, normally no longer than 24 months, and we do not use them for marketing unless you opt in.

  1. THE WEBSITE

The Site is a simple informational page. It does not require registration and does not intentionally use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps) for security and operations. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this Policy and use privacy-respecting tools.

  1. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

Information that reaches us (support emails, minimal server logs) is used to: provide and improve the Channel and Site; answer your questions; detect, prevent, and address technical problems and abuse; comply with law; and enforce our Terms of Use. On-device data is used only by the Channel on your device to run the game.

  1. SHARING OF INFORMATION

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information only:

  • With Roku, as part of running the Channel on the Roku platform (payments, ads, distribution);
  • With service providers who help us operate the Site or handle support email, under confidentiality obligations;
  • If required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and property;
  • In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.
  1. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Channel is a general-audience family trivia game. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Channel does not have accounts, chat, or user-generated public content. Advertising in the free version is delivered by Roku; Roku’s controls (including content and ad-related settings, and Limit Ad Tracking) apply. If you believe a child has provided us personal information (for example, by email), contact support@incredibleindiantrivia.approku.com and we will delete it. Parents and guardians who would like to avoid ads altogether can purchase Premium.

  1. DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION

On-device data is protected by Roku’s platform sandboxing and is retained until you remove the Channel or Roku clears it. For data we hold (support emails, logs), we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

  1. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Roku and our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the Channel you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries, which may have different data protection laws.

  1. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, and other U.S. states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to not be discriminated against for exercising rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise rights regarding data we hold (for example support emails), contact support@incredibleindiantrivia.approku.com. We may need to verify your identity. For data held by Roku (account, purchases, advertising), please contact Roku. If you are in the EEA/UK you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): we process the limited data we hold on the basis of legitimate interests (operating and securing the service), to respond to your requests, to perform our contract with you (Terms of Use), and to comply with legal obligations.
